My name is SARA. I'm a SURVIVOR!

First, I managed to survive a really mean storm called Katrina. It was hard to find any food or shelter for a long time. The people I had been staying with let me have a family and didn't help me to take care of my children. As a result, my hair was a little thin and I was pretty run down.

Awhile back, somebody didn't like me I guess and they shot me with a gun. I carried a bullet in my pelvis to remember that scary day. It made me hurt and I limped, but then Cathy and John at MSGPR became my keepers and I started to feel alot better! They give me medicine called Rimadyl and it helped the pain go away.

I thank Cathy and John for taking such good care of me until I came to Boston to live with my new family! I am beautiful once again and living pain free with a loving family that I wouldn't trade for the world! I'm here furever!

Sara is an example of what we frequently experience in rehabilitating these precious babies after they've suffered the horrible neglect and mistreatment by some humans. It is costly, and sometimes heartwrenching, but stories such as Sara's are the reason we do what we do to rescue and bring these poor babies back to health. We are so happy for Sara to have come so far and be living "the good life" once more.
