Why
do we need your help?
Each Pyr that enters Mississippi Great Pyrenees Rescue must be in good condition. That requires at least one trip to a vet. All Pyrs must have a current rabies vaccination, a series of 8-1 vacations, bordetella vaccine, heartworm tested, heartworm treated if necessary. Each and every Pyr that enters the MSGPR program must be altered. With the average size of a Pyr being from 85 to 130 pounds, the average charge is 100.00 for this surgery. Add that to the vaccines and you have a bill of about 150.00. That's if they are in good health and need no medications. Add more money for prescriptions, heartworm preventative, food, snacks, and any number of other incidentals and our "donation" of $250.00 does not cover our expenses. Each person involved with MSGPR gives what they can from their own pocket to help with the financial burdens, but even this is not enough.
We need help to keep our organization going. We need help to continue to our mission.
